Waldeslust: Between ecology, economy and aesthetics
The forest is more than just a collection of trees: it is a complex ecosystem. According to the law, forests in Switzerland are generally open to everyone and are therefore an important recreational area. In Winterthur, the importance of the forest is obvious: Winterthur is the most densely wooded city in Switzerland. In addition to the ecological and economic benefits, the forest also has aesthetic values that are difficult to measure. A landscape architect, a district forester and an artist reflect on the importance, benefits and beauty of the forest.
Guests: Brigitte Nyffenegger, landscape architect, Hans-Ulrich Menzi, district forester in Winterthur, and Katharina Henking, artist
Moderator: Karin Salm, cultural journalist BR
The event will be held in German.
